Crusher run is crushed stone in a 3/4-inch-minus gradation, meaning it contains stone down to fine particles. Those fines are the point: they fill the voids between the larger pieces so the material locks together under a roller into a firm, rut-resistant surface.

It is the workhorse base for driveways, parking areas, building pads, and equipment areas in sandy Florida soil. Unlike #57 stone, it is not a drainage material — if water needs to pass through, choose a clean stone instead.
